Better Screening on the Horizon

At the inception of RetinaScope, it was realized that with an affordable, portable fundus camera, better screening for eye diseases is achievable. This will initiate earlier and more frequent screening by shifting fundus imaging for diabetic patients from specialists to general practitioners, optometrists, and opticians.

Better screening in sight

RetinaScope started with the insight that better screening for eye diseases can be achieved with a low cost, handheld fundus camera. Earlier and more frequent screening will start by moving the fundus imaging for diabetic patients from specialists to the GP’s and opticians.

RetinaScope Plus

The retina, the back of the eye, is not only the most crucial interface to the outside world for humans but also serves as a clear indicator of what's happening within the body. Retinal imaging began as a diagnostic tool for eye diseases but is increasingly becoming a guide for health and wellness information. One of its most vital current functions is screening diabetic patients for diabetic retinopathy. More general screening programs can also examine age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and glaucoma.
